Civil litigation, injury law and workers’ compensation claims, regulatory law, family law, and business transactions are the areas of concentration of Attorney James L. Soucy. Attorney Soucy is a lifelong resident of New Hampshire and received his undergraduate degree from St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH and his law degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center, in Concord, NH. Before joining the Normand & Associates law firm, Attorney Soucy worked for several years with a New Hampshire insurance defense litigation firm, gaining much experience and insight in the handling of injury and property damage claims. That experience has been of great assistance to Jim who now primarily represents injured individuals in pursuing their legal rights and obtaining compensation for their injuries. Most recently, Jim worked in the Legal Unit of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, where he gained important regulatory law experience. Jim has utilized that experience in representing several clients with regulatory matters before the New Hampshire Liquor Commission, Department of Labor, Department of Environment Services, and other State and local agencies.

Prior to beginning his law career, Attorney Soucy graduated from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture, located at the University of Massachusetts, in Amherst MA, majoring in Landscape Operations. He worked in the landscape design-construction, arboriculture, and construction fields. During those years, Attorney Soucy also was a professional ski instructor, registered with the Professional Ski Instructors of America, and enjoyed teaching all ages of students, beginners through advanced-level skiers.
